Hepatitis B Monitoring Results
Doctor (speaking English) and Patient (speaking Russian) talk through “Hepatitis B Monitoring Results”. You interpret both ways — English into Russian, and Russian into English — one segment at a time, exactly as in the CCL test.

Mr Sokolov, your recent blood tests show you carry the Hepatitis B virus, but your liver enzymes are currently normal. Let's go through what this means for your ongoing care.
Not necessarily. Many people with inactive Hepatitis B never need medication, provided their liver stays healthy. We'll monitor you with blood tests every six months at Nepean Hospital's liver clinic.
If enzymes rise, we'll investigate further with an ultrasound before considering treatment. Most patients like you remain stable for years without developing cirrhosis or liver cancer.
The blood tests and specialist visits at the liver clinic are bulk-billed under Medicare, so you won't pay anything out of pocket for this monitoring.
Yes, your wife and children should be tested, since Hepatitis B can spread through household contact. If they're not immune, vaccination is available free through your GP.
Book your next blood test for the second week of November, and bring your Medicare card. We'll review results together at your follow-up appointment.
Terms in this dialogue that cost marks
CCL is marked on information transferred. These Australian terms have no direct word in most test languages — get one wrong and the segment's information is gone.

Reading a transcript is not interpreting. The free daily dialogue on this site plays each segment at native speed, records you, and marks the information you transferred against the same categories examiners use — omissions, distortions, insertions — so you know where the marks went.
