Follow-up on Depression Treatment and Medicare Coverage
GP (speaking English) and Patient (speaking Sinhala) talk through “Follow-up on Depression Treatment and Medicare Coverage”. You interpret both ways — English into Sinhala, and Sinhala into English — one segment at a time, exactly as in the CCL test.

Thanks for coming back in, Mr. Fernando. Last time we discussed starting some counselling for your depression—how have you been feeling since our last appointment?
I'd like to set up a Mental Health Treatment Plan so you can see a psychologist regularly—this lets us monitor your progress and adjust treatment if needed.
Medicare will cover ten sessions a year under this plan, and if you choose a bulk-billing psychologist in Bankstown, you won't pay any gap fee at all.
The clinic usually has an opening within two weeks, but I'll mark this referral urgent given your symptoms, so it might be sooner.
I can start you on a low-dose antidepressant; most people tolerate it well, but if you feel nauseous or dizzy, stop taking it and call me straight away.
Let's book you in for four weeks' time to review how the medication and counselling are working; if things feel overwhelming before then, please call Lifeline anytime.
Terms in this dialogue that cost marks
CCL is marked on information transferred. These Australian terms have no direct word in most test languages — get one wrong and the segment's information is gone.

Reading a transcript is not interpreting. The free daily dialogue on this site plays each segment at native speed, records you, and marks the information you transferred against the same categories examiners use — omissions, distortions, insertions — so you know where the marks went.
