Thanks for waiting, Mr Nováček. Your blood test results are back, and I'd like to explain what they mean and discuss your treatment options today.
Dobrý den, děkuji. Byl jsem docela nervózní celý týden. Co ty výsledky přesně znamenají? Je to vážné?
The test confirms you're HIV positive. This means you'll need daily antiretroviral medication to keep the virus under control and protect your health long term.
Rozumím... ale nemám v Austrálii žádné zdravotní pojištění, ani soukromé, ani Medicare. Jsem občan České republiky, jen tady pracuji na dočasném vízu.
Without Medicare, you won't automatically qualify for the PBS subsidy on this medication, since the Czech Republic doesn't have a reciprocal healthcare agreement with Australia.
To zní vážně. Existuje pro mě nějaká jiná možnost, jak lék získat, když nemám nárok na PBS?
The clinic can provide a short-term compassionate supply while you apply through Services Australia to check if you're eligible for Medicare under any special category.
Děkuji, to mi trochu uleví. Můžete mi říct, jestli ten lék má nějaké vedlejší účinky, na které bych si měl dávat pozor?
