Health Insurance Claim for Knee Surgery
Insurance Officer (speaking English) and 客户 (speaking Italian) talk through “Health Insurance Claim for Knee Surgery”. You interpret both ways — English into Italian, and Italian into English — one segment at a time, exactly as in the CCL test.

Thanks for calling Medibank, this is Sarah speaking. I can see your claim for the knee surgery from last Thursday was submitted—how can I assist you today?
I understand your concern. For hospital cover, knee surgery has a twelve-month waiting period, and you joined eight months ago, so it hasn't been met yet.
That's correct, unless the surgery was needed due to an accident. If it was accident-related, the waiting period can sometimes be waived—can you tell me what happened?
Thank you. I'll need the incident report and a medical certificate from Royal North Shore Hospital confirming the injury was accident-related, not pre-existing.
Va bene, posso chiedere il certificato all'ospedale domani.
Once we receive the certificate, our assessment usually takes ten business days. I'll lodge an appeal today noting the accident circumstances.
Grazie mille.
If it's rejected again, you can escalate the matter to the Private Health Insurance Ombudsman for an independent review.
Perfetto, grazie per la spiegazione. Aspetterò la chiamata con l'esito.
Terms in this dialogue that cost marks
CCL is marked on information transferred. These Australian terms have no direct word in most test languages — get one wrong and the segment's information is gone.
- private health insuranceSi dice 'assicurazione sanitaria privata'.

Reading a transcript is not interpreting. The free daily dialogue on this site plays each segment at native speed, records you, and marks the information you transferred against the same categories examiners use — omissions, distortions, insertions — so you know where the marks went.

How the test works
Practice dialogue written to the CCL specification (two speakers, segments of 35 words or fewer, about 300 words). It is a practice text, not a NAATI test paper, and the AI score is this site's estimate, not a NAATI result. All Italian dialogues · All languages
