Depression Follow-Up Consultation
GP (speaking English) and Patient (speaking Malay) talk through “Depression Follow-Up Consultation”. You interpret both ways — English into Malay, and Malay into English — one segment at a time, exactly as in the CCL test.

Encik Zulkifli, when we last spoke your mood had dropped quite low. How have the past two weeks been, particularly your sleep and energy levels?
Doktor, saya tidur sangat kurang sekarang. Saya terjaga sekitar pukul tiga pagi dan tidak dapat tidur semula. Saya juga tidak berminat langsung untuk keluar rumah.
Have you been taking the sertraline every day as prescribed? Any side effects like nausea, dizziness, or changes in appetite since we increased the dose?
Sebenarnya saya berhenti makan ubat itu selama tiga hari kerana rasa loya yang teruk. Saya risau ubat itu tidak sesuai untuk saya.
Please don't stop suddenly without telling me, that can worsen symptoms. I'll lower the dose slightly and refer you to a psychologist at headspace Bendigo.
Baiklah, doktor, saya faham. Tapi berapa banyak sesi yang dilindungi kerana saya agak risau tentang kos rawatan ini.
Medicare's Better Access scheme covers up to ten psychology sessions each calendar year, and our clinic bulk-bills, so there's no out-of-pocket cost for you.
Itu melegakan hati saya. Tapi kadangkala saya rasa sangat putus asa, terutamanya waktu malam apabila saya keseorangan di rumah.
Do you ever have thoughts of harming yourself, and if so, have you made any specific plan? This is important for your safety.
Tiada rancangan khusus, doktor, tetapi kadangkala fikiran itu muncul begitu sahaja, terutamanya lewat malam apabila saya bersendirian.
I'm glad you told me. Save Lifeline's number, 13 11 14, for those moments, and let's meet again next Thursday to review your progress.
Baik, doktor. Saya akan simpan nombor itu dan datang semula pada hari Khamis depan untuk sesi susulan.
Terms in this dialogue that cost marks
CCL is marked on information transferred. These Australian terms have no direct word in most test languages — get one wrong and the segment's information is gone.
- medicareKekalkan sebagai 'Medicare' tanpa terjemahan kerana ia nama khas skim kerajaan.
- lifelineKekalkan sebagai 'Lifeline' kerana ia nama khas organisasi.
Practise it
Reading a transcript is not interpreting. The free daily dialogue on this site plays each segment at native speed, records you, and marks the information you transferred against the same categories examiners use — omissions, distortions, insertions — so you know where the marks went.

How the test works
Practice dialogue written to the CCL specification (two speakers, segments of 35 words or fewer, about 300 words). It is a practice text, not a NAATI test paper, and the AI score is this site's estimate, not a NAATI result. All Malay dialogues · All languages
