Mr. Ilić, thank you for coming in today. Let's go through what happened outside the hotel in Newtown last month, and how self-defense might apply.
Da, hvala vam. Te večeri, oko jedanaest sati uveče, trojica muškaraca su me napala ispred hotela. Nisam prvi udario, samo sam se branio.
Did any of the three men have a weapon, or did you feel your life was in immediate danger during the attack?
Jedan od njih je imao razbijenu flašu u ruci. Uplašio sam se za svoj život, pa sam ga gurnuo da bih se odbranio.
Under New South Wales law, self-defense applies if your response was reasonable given the threat you faced. The court will consider the bottle as a genuine danger.
