Discussing HIV Diagnosis and Treatment Plan
Clinical Nurse Consultant (speaking English) and 病人 (speaking German) talk through “Discussing HIV Diagnosis and Treatment Plan”. You interpret both ways — English into German, and German into English — one segment at a time, exactly as in the CCL test.

Thanks for waiting, Mr. Fischer. Before we go through your results together, can you tell me how you've been feeling since your last visit?
Your viral load is currently detectable, but your CD4 count is stable. We'll start antiretroviral therapy today to bring the virus under control.
Most people tolerate it well. It's one tablet daily, and we'll check your viral load again in six weeks to confirm it's working.
We can support you with that conversation. If your partner hasn't been tested yet, she can also access PrEP here to stay protected.
If you don't have a Medicare card, we can still arrange treatment through this clinic's outreach program, without any out-of-pocket cost to you.
Everything here stays strictly confidential. I'll book your next appointment at Melbourne Sexual Health Centre for 10:30 am on Thursday, the fourteenth.
Terms in this dialogue that cost marks
CCL is marked on information transferred. These Australian terms have no direct word in most test languages — get one wrong and the segment's information is gone.
Practise it
Reading a transcript is not interpreting. The free daily dialogue on this site plays each segment at native speed, records you, and marks the information you transferred against the same categories examiners use — omissions, distortions, insertions — so you know where the marks went.

How the test works
Practice dialogue written to the CCL specification (two speakers, segments of 35 words or fewer, about 300 words). It is a practice text, not a NAATI test paper, and the AI score is this site's estimate, not a NAATI result. All German dialogues · All languages
