Supporting a Parent Through a Dementia Assessment
Aged Care Assessment Nurse (speaking English) and 女儿(客户) (speaking Romanian) talk through “Supporting a Parent Through a Dementia Assessment”. You interpret both ways — English into Romanian, and Romanian into English — one segment at a time, exactly as in the CCL test.

Thank you for coming in today, Mrs Ionescu. Can you tell me what changes you've noticed in your mother's memory over the past few months?
Has she ever left the house alone and become confused about where she was, or forgotten to turn off the stove while cooking dinner?
I'd like to refer her to the memory clinic at Concord Repatriation General Hospital for a full cognitive assessment next month, since early diagnosis really helps with planning.
Usually the wait is about six weeks, but if there's a safety concern, we can arrange an urgent appointment within two weeks instead.
The assessment itself isn't charged, and afterwards she may qualify for a home care package to support her with daily living tasks.
If she refuses today, we can't force her, but her GP can discuss the benefits and revisit this conversation with her gently later.
Terms in this dialogue that cost marks
CCL is marked on information transferred. These Australian terms have no direct word in most test languages — get one wrong and the segment's information is gone.
Practise it
Reading a transcript is not interpreting. The free daily dialogue on this site plays each segment at native speed, records you, and marks the information you transferred against the same categories examiners use — omissions, distortions, insertions — so you know where the marks went.

How the test works
Practice dialogue written to the CCL specification (two speakers, segments of 35 words or fewer, about 300 words). It is a practice text, not a NAATI test paper, and the AI score is this site's estimate, not a NAATI result. All Romanian dialogues · All languages
