Thank you for meeting with me today, Mrs Demir. I'm Sarah, the palliative care nurse from Liverpool Hospital. How has your father's pain and breathing been this past week?
We can increase his morphine to every four hours instead of six, which should give him much steadier relief through the night.
Please don't worry — morphine won't cause addiction when it's used for comfort care, and we'll monitor him closely each day.
Anladım, teşekkür ederim. Peki eve kaç kez hemşire gelecek? Gece acil bir durum olursa kimi aramamız gerekiyor?
Calvary's home palliative team can visit twice a week, and there's a 24-hour phone line if you need urgent advice.
Yes, we can arrange a hospital bed and pressure-relieving mattress through the equipment loan program, if his mobility declines further at home.
Peki babam ileride konuşamaz hale gelirse, kararları kim verecek? Bunu şimdiden yazılı hale getirebilir miyiz?
An advance care directive lets us honour his wishes if he can't communicate later. Would you like our social worker's help completing it together?
