Pre-Operative Consultation Before Gallbladder Surgery
Pre-operative Nurse (speaking English) and Patient (speaking Ukrainian) talk through “Pre-Operative Consultation Before Gallbladder Surgery”. You interpret both ways — English into Ukrainian, and Ukrainian into English — one segment at a time, exactly as in the CCL test.

Before your surgery at Wollongong Hospital this Thursday, I need to check a few important things with you and answer any questions you may have.
Добре, дякую. Чесно кажучи, я трохи нервую перед операцією, але хочу все зробити правильно. Що мені потрібно знати?
Have you eaten or had anything since midnight? You must not have food or fluids within six hours of the anaesthetic, or the operation could be delayed.
Я востаннє їв вчора о восьмій вечора, тож зараз уже майже дванадцять годин минуло. Води теж не пив сьогодні вранці.
Are you currently taking any blood thinners, such as warfarin or aspirin, or any other regular prescription medications I should know about?
Так, я приймаю аспірин щодня через серце, а ще іноді парацетамол від болю в спині. Інших ліків не приймаю.
Do you have any known allergies, particularly to antibiotics, latex gloves, or anaesthetic drugs used during surgery?
У мене алергія на пеніцилін, з'являється висип. А на латекс чи інші ліки реакції ніколи не було.
The surgeon will remove your gallbladder laparoscopically; there's a small risk of bleeding or infection, but serious complications are uncommon. Please sign this consent form if you agree to proceed.
Розумію, дякую за пояснення. Сподіваюся, все пройде добре, і ускладнень не буде.
Please arrive at the hospital by seven o'clock on Thursday morning, and bring your Medicare card along with a list of your current medications.
Добре, я прийду о сьомій ранку в четвер і візьму карту Medicare та список ліків. Дякую за консультацію.
Terms in this dialogue that cost marks
CCL is marked on information transferred. These Australian terms have no direct word in most test languages — get one wrong and the segment's information is gone.
- medicareЗалишити як 'Medicare' англійською, вимовляючи природно в українському мовленні; це власна назва системи, аналогів немає.
- medicare cardСказати 'картка Medicare', залишаючи назву системи англійською.
Practise it
Reading a transcript is not interpreting. The free daily dialogue on this site plays each segment at native speed, records you, and marks the information you transferred against the same categories examiners use — omissions, distortions, insertions — so you know where the marks went.

How the test works
Practice dialogue written to the CCL specification (two speakers, segments of 35 words or fewer, about 300 words). It is a practice text, not a NAATI test paper, and the AI score is this site's estimate, not a NAATI result. All Ukrainian dialogues · All languages
