Deciding Whether to Join the Union
Union Organiser (speaking English) and Worker (speaking Bosnian) talk through “Deciding Whether to Join the Union”. You interpret both ways — English into Bosnian, and Bosnian into English — one segment at a time, exactly as in the CCL test.

Hi Emir, I'm Sarah from the AMWU. Do you have a few minutes to talk about joining the union here at the Wagga Wagga plant?
Zdravo, imam malo vremena. Čuo sam da sindikat pomaže radnicima, ali ne znam tačno šta to znači za mene.
Great. Members get support with pay negotiations, safety issues, and free legal advice. Membership costs six dollars fifty per week, deducted directly from your pay slip.
Da li je to obavezno, ili mogu sam odlučiti da li želim da se učlanim?
It's completely voluntary — you're not required to join, and your job security isn't affected either way, regardless of your decision.
Dobro, a šta ako dođe do spora oko plate? Da li sindikat onda pregovara direktno sa poslodavcem?
Yes. If a dispute arises, the union can represent you and, if needed, take the matter to the Fair Work Commission for resolution.
To zvuči korisno. Kako se prijavljujem, i koliko dugo traje taj proces?
You just fill out this short form — it takes about five minutes, and I need it back by Friday afternoon at the latest.
U redu, popuniću ga danas. A ako imam problem sa nadređenim, mogu li pozvati vas direktno?
Absolutely. Once you're a member, you can call our office anytime, and a local delegate will support you here at the workplace.
Hvala vam puno. Osjećam se sigurnije. Potpisaću formular danas popodne i poslaću vam ga.
Terms in this dialogue that cost marks
CCL is marked on information transferred. These Australian terms have no direct word in most test languages — get one wrong and the segment's information is gone.
- membership costsPrevesti kao 'troškovi članstva' ili 'članarina'.
- fair workZadržati naziv 'Fair Work' kao vlastito ime institucije.
- fair work commissionReci naziv na engleskom 'Fair Work Commission', po potrebi dodaj kratko objašnjenje 'agencija za radne odnose'.

Reading a transcript is not interpreting. The free daily dialogue on this site plays each segment at native speed, records you, and marks the information you transferred against the same categories examiners use — omissions, distortions, insertions — so you know where the marks went.

How the test works
Practice dialogue written to the CCL specification (two speakers, segments of 35 words or fewer, about 300 words). It is a practice text, not a NAATI test paper, and the AI score is this site's estimate, not a NAATI result. All Bosnian dialogues · All languages
