Discussing a Liver Cancer Diagnosis
Doctor (speaking English) and Patient (speaking Macedonian) talk through “Discussing a Liver Cancer Diagnosis”. You interpret both ways — English into Macedonian, and Macedonian into English — one segment at a time, exactly as in the CCL test.

Mr. Petkovski, thank you for coming in today. I have your scan results from Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, and I need to discuss something important with you.
The scan shows a tumour in your liver, about four centimetres wide. It's consistent with liver cancer, and we need further tests to confirm the stage.
It's serious, but not necessarily untreatable. If your liver function is stable and there's no cirrhosis, surgery may still be an option for you.
Not necessarily. If surgery isn't suitable, we can consider ablation or targeted therapy instead. I'll refer you to the liver specialist team this week.
We'll schedule an MRI within two weeks, followed by a specialist appointment. Please avoid alcohol completely until we confirm your treatment plan.
Medicare covers the scans, specialist visits, and hospital treatment. You won't need private health insurance for this, but bring your Medicare card each visit.
Terms in this dialogue that cost marks
CCL is marked on information transferred. These Australian terms have no direct word in most test languages — get one wrong and the segment's information is gone.

Reading a transcript is not interpreting. The free daily dialogue on this site plays each segment at native speed, records you, and marks the information you transferred against the same categories examiners use — omissions, distortions, insertions — so you know where the marks went.

How the test works
Practice dialogue written to the CCL specification (two speakers, segments of 35 words or fewer, about 300 words). It is a practice text, not a NAATI test paper, and the AI score is this site's estimate, not a NAATI result. All Macedonian dialogues · All languages
