Medicare
直接说英文 Medicare，不用翻译，因为这是专有名词，中文里没有对应词。
有人翻译成“医疗保险”或“医保卡”，这样会让考官分不清是指制度本身还是卡片，丢失专有名词的准确性。
Waiting period
译为“等待期”，这是标准且准确的说法。
有些考生会译成“等候名单”（waiting list的意思），把两个完全不同的概念混淆，导致信息错误。
Gap fee
译为“差额费”或“自付差额”，能准确传达其含义。
考生常简单译为“额外费用”，没有体现这是报销后剩余差额的特定含义，容易造成理解偏差。
Reference number
说“参考号”或“编号”即可。
有人翻成“身份证号”或“账号”，把它和其他证件号码混淆，导致信息不准确。
Online portal
说“网上申请系统”或“在线平台”，如指具体系统可直接保留英文名（如myGov）。

常被泛译为“找工作的人”，把福利金名称当成普通词组直译，完全丢失了这是Centrelink具体津贴名称的信息。
Age Pension
建议译为“养老金”，可加注保留官方名称“Age Pension”。
常见错误译成“退休金”，让人误以为是雇主或个人退休储蓄金（如superannuation），而非政府福利。
Carer Payment
建议译为“照顾者补助金”，或保留“Carer Payment”。
常见错误译成“护理工资”，让人误以为是专业护工的薪水，而非政府对家庭照顾者的社会福利支持。
Council rates
译为“市政费”或“地方政府房产税”，可简单说明是政府收取的房产相关费用。
考生常译成“房产税”而不加说明，容易和国家层面的物业税或印花税混淆，也有人错译成“议会费”，让人不明白这是市政服务费。
Income test
直接说“收入测试”，这是官方通用译法。
容易与“资产测试”（assets test）混淆，或译成“收入调查/收入审查”，让考官以为是税务审计而非领取资格审核。
Mutual obligation
说“互惠义务”，如有需要可补充“即领取津贴者需履行的求职/活动义务”。
常被直译为“共同义务”或完全省略“互惠”概念，导致考官听不出这是Centrelink领取条件而非泛泛的社会责任。
Healthcare card
译为“医疗优惠卡”，并说明持卡人可享受药费、医疗费用打折或减免。
考生常与Medicare卡混为一谈直接说“医保卡”，但两者不同——Medicare卡是全民医保凭证，healthcare card是低收入者专属优惠卡。
Rent Assistance
说“租房补助”或“租金补助”。
容易被泛化译成“住房补贴”，让人以为是政府公屋或购房补贴，而非针对租金的Centrelink附加津贴。
Assets test
翻译为“资产审查”或“资产测试”，可视情况加一句解释：即Centrelink审核申请人财产总值是否符合领取福利金的资格。
